Photograph of the form titled, "Notice of the Separation From U.S. Naval Service" signed by James A. Strosnider, Jr., in November 1945.

The image has dark smudges on part of the form making it hard to read.

He served in Great Lakes, Michigan, San Diego, San Francisco, Camp Parks and Shoemaker, all in California.

James also attended Naval Hospital Corps Schools for Nursing and Fever Therapy.

James was born in Strasburg, Virginia, on , May 31, 1923. He was working for Charles Platt at the silk mill in Strasburg as a weaver when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in October 1942.

At the time of his discharge, his preference for going forward was to finish his education at a Military School.

This document lists his medals as: the American Theatre Ribbon, Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, and a Good Conduct Medal.
