She lived in Strasburg, Virginia, when she married Clyde Gorman Neal (1917-1989).
Her obituary described her as a "member of the Lutheran faith and a loving mother who loved to read".
She left behind two children: Connie (Neal) Drummond and Gary M. Neal, Sr.
