Description

Photograph of the A. M. Clem & Co. store located in Fort Valley Virginia.

The store, constructed ca. 1933, still stands on the west side of Fort Valley Road where it intersections with Woodstock Tower Road.

Thre store was operated by Alfred "Alf" Clem. Three unidentified people, one man, one woman, and one child are standing in the front of the store. It is possible they are Alfred and his family, but it is uncertain.

A house is visible up behind the business. Signs advertising Coca Cola and Texaco gas and motor oil are visible.
