Margie was from a farming family headed by Fred Guy and Gertrude Juanita (Heishman) Kibler in the Stonewall District of Shenandoah County. She was the oldest child and had at least three younger brothers.
Her husband was William Alvin Day, son of Stanley and Virginia C. (Helsley) Day of Columbia Furnace.
They married in 1957 when Margie worked as a telephone operator and William worked for Blue Ridge Poultry. At that time, both lived in Woodstock.
