Mike was originally from Venezuela and came to Woodstock to attend Massanutten Military Academy (MMA). He met Charlotte Funk, a lifelong Woodstock resident while at MMA.
The couple married and raised their children in Woodstock. Mike worked as a Spanish teacher at Central High School for many years.
During their years together, the Northern Virginia Daily newspaper reported on several of their family’s milestones including a visit from Mike’s relatives from Venezuela, the birth of their son, Michael, and a large 50th wedding anniversary party held at their home for Charlotte’s grandparents.
Mike and Charlotte had two sons, Michael III, and Richardo Anthony Chellini. Unfortunately, Richardo died unexpectedly when he was just 18 years old.
