Subject
Lucas, Freddie Marguerite Miller (1922- )
Description
Portrait photograph of Freddie M. (Miller) Lucas with short dark hair and wearing a faux pearl necklace.
Freddie was the daughter of Joseph Franklin and Katie Catherine (Barr) Miller.
She married Robert "Bobby" William Lucas in Maurertown in 1945. Her husband was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Ezra Lee and Susie Virginia (Seal) Lucas.
At the time of their marriage, Robert was an insurance agent and lived in Woodstock.
A few years later, the 1950 census found the family living in Front Royal, Virginia, where Robert was a "baker" at a "textile and rayon plant" (probably what later became known as Avtex Fibers) and Freddie was raising her two young children, Robert W. Jr. (3 years old) and Connie Sue Lucas (1 year old).
