Description
Photograph of Charles R. Funkhouser and his wife, Beatrice E. "Beaty" (Weatherholtz) Funkhouser shown together and about to cut a multi-tiered cake.
Probably, this was an anniversary celebration.

When he died, Charles worked as a salesman in a truss company.
Beaty worked at Shenvalee Lodge in New Market for many years as a waitress, hostess, desk clerk and switchboard operator. Later, she worked for 17 years at Southern Kitchen as a hostess and cashier.
