She was the daughter of Woodrow Wilson and Hazel Ruth (Wakeman) Haycock.
She graduated from Central High School in 1964.
Mary Ruth married Kenneth Samuel Walker in 1970, in rural Woodstock. She lived in rural Edinburg when she married.
Together, the couple raised two children: Westley Walker and Samantha (Walker) Mitchell.
The image on the right has a mark at the top where the photographer noted which of the two images he planned to print.
He has also added the note (visible but backwards), "2-5X7" indicating the number and size of the prints he planned to make.
