Jim was the son of George and Lucy (Hausenfluck) Phillips. Wanda was the daughter of Kenneth C. Fadeley and Fern (Golladay) Zirkle.
The couple married in 1953, not long after Jim got out of the Army. He worked at Rockingham Poultry in Timberville for many years and retired as shop foreman. When he died, Jim was the manager and building maintenance man for Knopp Enterprises in Staunton.
Wanda graduated from New Market High School, worked as a telephone operator and later, for Aileen Manufacturing. She also was the manager of the Timber Hill Apartments in Timberville, Va., for over 15 years, until her retirement in 2008.
Jim and Wanda (Fadeley) Phillips were married for more than 50 years when Jim died.
Wanda later married Robert W. Poole.
