Cathy was the daughter of Calvin Brown and Irene Catherine (Walter) Fadeley.
She graduated from Central High School in 1966.
Later that summer, she married Ronald Franklin Baker, from North Carolina. The couple married in Hagerstown, Maryland. He was in the Army and she was working as a medical secretary at the time.
That marriage did not last.
She lived in Edinburg in 1972 when she married her second husband, James Timothy Dalke. He was the son of William Franklin Jr. and Kathryn Stover (Shaffer) Dalke.
