Marlene was the daughter to Kermit Lee and Madge Eloise (Trimble) Racey.
Her first husband was Thomas Allen Kipps whom she married in 1974. That marriage did not last.
Her second husband was James Franklin Hoffman whom she married in 1980, a few years after her divorce.
Later in her life, her married name was Bush.
