Addison came to Fort Valley from Hardy county, West Virginia, to work for Minnie's father, William Newton Cook. His job entailed stripping bark for tanning hides.
The couple lived in West Virginia and Delaware before returning to Fort Valley to raise their seven children: Florence, Lester, Edna, Zirkle, Clara, Pauline and Emogene.
This photograph was taken at the Fogle's 50th wedding anniversary celebration in 1948.
