Photo of two separate portrait photographs of Boyd Wilson Seal as a young man in a suit and tie.
Born in Toms Brook, he was the son of Roy Wilson and Alice Ann (Bly) Seal.
He graduated from Strasburg High School, then joined the U.S. Airforce. He was stationed in Newbury, England, where he met his wife, Margaret "Margot" Rowe.
The couple returned to the U.S. settling in the Tri-cities area of southeastern Washington State where Boyd began his long career as a telephone cable splicer. Together, they raised four children: Michelle, Michael, Marcus and Rachael.
In 1981, he joined the National Guard serving until 1996, when he retired at the rank of Sergeant First Class. During his time in the military, he received multiple awards for marksmanship and conduct.
As a retiree, he continued to keep busy by delivering flowers for the business his oldest children own.
Boyd lived in Moses Lake, Washington, when he died, and is buried in Kennewick, Benton County, Washington.
