Vivian Myers

New Market resident Vivian Myers is known best as a founding member of the New Market Area Rescue Squad. In 1978 her and her husband Nappie were two of the department’s most active volunteers. She recounted that one of her most rewarding experiences was delivering a baby while enroute to the hospital.

In addition to her role with the Rescue Squad, Vivian was an active member of the New Market Garden Club, the Shenandoah County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, and Manor Memorial United Methodist Church.
