She graduated from Woodstock High School in 1952.
Charlotte was a teacher at the Henry Clay High School in Ashland, Virginia, when she married Morris Gordon Johnson in 1957. He was a bank teller at Tri-County Bank at the time of their marriage.
The couple's wedding was held in Woodstock.
