Dora Isabel Richman grew up in Maurertown, daughter of the late Walter Elliott (1904-1977) and Lucy Virginia (Richard) (1904-1975) Richmond.
She was a graduate of Woodstock High School. She married Warren Luther Lambert (1920-1978) in the 1940’s and their first child, Carolyn June Lambert, arrived in August 1948. A son, Richard Warren Lambert followed the following year.
In 1950, the family lived on South Commerce Street in Woodstock. Dora did not work and had two small children at home. Her husband worked at a dairy where his job was in the refrigeration part of the operation.
When Isabel died, she was a retired nurse from Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock. She had also been a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Woodstock.
