Photo of a portrait photograph of William Otto Seal, as a young man in his U.S. Army uniform.

He was the son of Virgil D. and Bernice (George) Seal.

Bill served in the US Army during World War Two and was shot in the knee at Normandy. His leg was amputated while in hospital in England recovering.

After the war he returned to Woodstock and worked at the American Viscose Corporation (later called Avtex Fibers) in Front Royal.
