Rinker, Jean Marie Finks (1922-2001)
Description
Portrait photograph of James William Rinker and his first wife, Jean (Finks) Rinker, when they were young.
James was the son of Garnett Luther and May (Whitacre) Rinker. He married Jean Marie Finks in 1944. In this image, Jean has a corsage pinned to her dress. It is possible this image was their wedding photograph.
James is wearing a U.S. Army uniform with a "T" below two stripes on his shoulder. During World War II, the U.S. Army used this insignia to denote the "Technician" ranks, which were enlisted soldiers with special technical skills.
