Title

Centennial Pageant Participants

Subject

Mt. Jackson (Va)

Description

Photograph of five unidentified women and two unidentified boys. They are participants in a pageant held commemorating Mt. Jackson Virginia's centennial.

The woman in the center of the image wears a crown. The others are wearing sashes that say: "Centennial", "Triplett", "Virginia", and "Mt. Jackson". Triplett refers to the name of Triplett High School in Mt. Jackson. Two unidentified young boys, serving as pages, flank the crowned girl.

Most likely this was taken as part of a 100-year commemoration of Mt. Jackson's incorporation as a town which would have occurred in 1926.
