Photo of a framed school photograph of Dorothy Frances (Good) Gochenour from the 1940-1941 academic year, probably her senior year of high school.
Dorothy was born in Maurertown, to William Joseph and Ruth Emma (Coffman) Good, a farming family. In the 1930 census, Dorothy appeared as a 6-year old living with her parents and paternal grandparents on their farm near Jadwyn Road in the Stonewall District of Shenandoah County.
She married Marion Aldine Gochenour (1922-2011) in 1945. He was a 23-year old farmer from Mt. Jackson and the son of Ernest Marion and Eva Mae (Miller) Gochenour.
The couple had two children: Barbara A. Moses and Kenneth Marion Gochenour.
Dorothy was living in Falling Waters, West Virginia, when she died. Both she and her husband are buried together in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
