Anna Katharine (Hottel) Benchoff wearing a hat, wintry outfit, and a fur draped around her shoulders.

Anna Katharine was the daughter of Milton Hockman and Laura Hottel of Woodstock.

She married Guy Anderson Benchoff in 1924, and the couple worked and taught at Massanutten Military Academy (MMA) for many years together.

They also raised four children together in Woodstock: John "Jack" Milton Benchoff, Ann McCord (Benchoff) Stamm, Betty (Benchoff) Page, and Barbara Loudoun (Benchoff) Miles.
