Mrs. Lambert worked for Dr. James M. Winkfield, Sr. for many years and then worked for Beidler's Furniture for seventeen years as a sales clerk.
Janet married Harry Ford "Skeeter" Lambert, Sr. and left behind three children, Harry F. Jr., Gary L., and Mary L. Lambert.
She is buried in Massanutten Cemetery in Woodstock.
