Description

Portrait photograph of Dorothy Jane (Griffith) Bushong as a young woman.

Jane was the daughter of Hollis Clarke and Nettie (Jennings) Griffith, of Toms Brook.

She became a registered nurse and married Forest Berlin "Peanut" Bushong (1919-1995) on Christmas Day, 1941.

Their first daughter, Beverly Ann, died in infancy in 1943.

By 1950, the census found the couple living in the Stonewall District with three young children: Joyce Lee, Doris Anne, and Jeffrey Franklin Bushong.

The Bushong family lived northwest of Woodstock on what was known as the William & Milton Fravel farm.

Jane is buried in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.
