Portrait photograph of Geraldine "Gerry" (Smoot) Eagle as a young woman.
She was the daughter of Alger and Myrtle May (Hoover) Smoot of Woodstock.
Her first husband was Guy Douglas Lutz (1924-1964) whom she married in 1946. He was the son of Noah C. and Mary Gay (Funk) Lutz and worked in retail companies most of his life.
In the 1950 census, the couple lived on E. Main Street in Woodstock where Geraldine worked as a bank teller and her husband was a clerk in a sports store.
After he died, Geraldine married again in 1966 to Thomas Virts Eagle (1916-2003), a Woodstock businessman and dairy farmer who owned Woodstock Wholesale Meats for 40 years.
She did not have children.
