Photograph of Freddy Frye Sr. in his naval uniform with his wife, Louise (Richman) Frye and their first child, Frederick A. Frye, Jr. posed between them.

Freddy's parents were Andrew Worth Frye and Minnie Mae (Coffman) Frye. His wife, Louise, was the daughter of Walter Elliott and Lucy Virginia (Richard) Richman.

Frederick A. “Freddie” Frye and his wife were Woodstock residents. Together, they raised four children.

During the Second World War Freddy served in the US Navy as a Seabee. He was co-owner and manager of the Ideal Food Market located on Main Street, later the Woodstock IGA Grocery Store, from the 1950s through the 1980s.

The couple were married for more than sixty years when Louise died.
