Anna was the daughter of Ira James and Lelia Susan (Rudy) Snyder.
She married Lester L. Hottel (1889-1941) in 1924 and together they lived on Muhlenburg Street in Woodstock and raised a son, Daniel "Danny" Snyder Hottel (1925-2020).
When she married in 1924, the Shenandoah Herald published (on June 13th) an account of Anna's wedding. The article said, "Mrs. Hottel is an attractive young woman with many friends and is a talented musician possessing a voice of rare sweetness."
The article also said that her new husband, was a former teacher in the public schools and one of Shenandoah County's "most highly respected young men."
Their honeymoon was spent in Canton and Newark, Ohio, before they returned to Woodstock.
Anna became a registered nurse and worked at both the Fravel Hospital and the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock for many years.
