Photograph of the form titled, "Notice of the Separation From U.S. Naval Service" signed by Raymond B. Derrow, in Memphis, Tennessee, in December 1945.

Raymond was born on May 1, 1923, in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He was working for the Dally Brothers Shoe Factory as a leather cutter when he was drafted in 1943.

The form includes his duty stations, his dates of service, and a description of his service (Aviation Radioman Second Class).

It also noted he was married and was undecided about what he wanted to do next although he was returning to Harrisonburg initially.
