Description

Photograph of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church located on the corner of South Main and Spring Streets in Woodstock.

Today, the church is called St. Paul's United Church of Christ (UCC).

St. Paul’s historically dates back to 1748 when Michael Schlatter visited the town of Mullerstadt, (now Woodstock), where he preached and baptized many before continuing on his mission.

The first church building was a log structure located on the present-day site of the church’s cemetery.

The present building was built in 1869, following the Civil War. It has undergone numerous additions and changes since then.
