This photograph was made in June 1934 after she was selected by a panel of judges to be the winner of the MIss Woodstock contest. Madolyn represented the Cash and Carry Grocery Store during the contest.
Her parents were Benjamin Franklin and May (Larkin) Foltz.
She married Matthew Franklin Ritter in Winchester in 1939. He was a State Police Officer at that time.
The couple later moved to Albemarle County.

Identified in 2014 by Mary Ruth Parsons, who found the win and her name covered in a Free Press article dated 13 Oct 2013. The original article was published in June 1934 in the Shenandoah Herald newspaper.
