Description

Helen Lee (Ellifritz) Iandoli as a young woman wearing a long gown with a sash that says, "Miss Strasburg 1939" and holding a trophy.

Helen was born in Davis, West Virginia, to William Howard and Mary Ellen (Resley) Ellifrits. She grew up in Strasburg and her nickname was "Sweetie". Her father was a Director of the First National Bank in Strasburg.

She became a nurse and married an army soldier from Paterson, New Jersey, named Edward William Iandoli (1923-2018) in 1945.

The couple are buried together in Sarasota, Florida.
