Unidentified men are accompanying the wagons and are visible walking alongside, sitting on a horse or on top of the loads.
A smaller, third wagon pulled by one horse is visible on the right side of the image.
This photograph was taken on S. Main Street in Woodstock Virginia. The brick house whose roofline is visible in the background still stands in 2026 at 146 S. Main Street and is the home of ERA Reality.

This is on South Main Street. The photographer is facing due north. The brick building in the center is known atoday as the ERA Valley Realty.
