Photo of two separate portrait photographs of Pauline (Bowers) Hottle in her later years.
Pauline was the daughter of John Henry and Mary (Shaffer) Bowers.
She had two husbands. The first was Noah Arthur Polk (1874-1946) whom she married in 1929. After he died, she married Robert Washington Hottle (1878-1956) in 1946.
Pauline lived in Mt. Jackson for many years and worked as a janitor at Triplett High School.
She is buried in Maurertown Virginia.
The image on the right has a mark at the top where the photographer noted which of the two images he planned to print.
