Phyllis was the daughter of Joseph Daniel and Alma Marie (Funk) Hottle. She graduated from Central High School in 1969.


Phyllis married three times.

Her first husband was Richard Frances Hockman who she married in Toms Brook in 1972.

Her second husband was Gary Marvin Yew. They married in Toms Brook in 1980.

She married Ted Michael Fleming, her third husband, in 1990.

The image on the left has a mark at the top where the photographer noted which of the two images he planned to print.
