Identified are (l to r):
Standing in suits: George Pappas, Pete Blentson, and James Kotsianas.
Seated: Unidentified woman holding Helen Blentson, Angelo Blentson (standing between the two women) and Rena (Pappas) Blentson.
The three men started the restaurant together in 1922.
George Pappas was bought out around 1931 and James Kotsianas was eventually bought out after World War II. Both men moved on to other communities with their families.
Pete Blentson continued to operate the New York restaurant until his death in 1956.
Following Pete Blentson’s death, his son Angelo operated the restaurant through at least 1961. Rena (Pappas) Blentson and her family also operated the Blue Star Diner in Woodstock from 1957-1961 when the diner, and the family, moved to Newport News, Virginia.
