Born in Edinburg, Delores was the daughter of Jacob Gilmore and Zelia M. (Holler) Stoneburner.
Her first marriage was to Charles Douglas Bradfield in Hagerstown in 1957. The couple divorced in 1966.
She worked as a "Floor Girl" for a Woodstock Manufacturing Company in 1967 when she married Marvin Lee Burner (1943-2018) who was in the Army.
Marvin's parents were Marvin Franklin and Helen Marie (Shrum) Burner.
