Maurertown native. Joined the US Army on June 7 1918. Trained at Camp Lee Virginia.
Deployed to France August 6, 1918 as part of the 128th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Division. Involved in the Battle of Meuse Argonne. Part of the Army of Occupation in Germany, November 11 1918 until April 16 1919.
Discharged from Camp Lee Virginia, May 16 1919. Postwar occupation, farmer.
