Woodstock native. Entered the US Army on March 28, 1918. Trained at Camp Lee Virginia. Deployed oversees on June 3, 1918.

Involved in the Argonne Offensive and was awarded three Bronze Stars for heroism.

Discharges June 12, 1919 at Camp Lee Virginia. Postwar occupation, painter.
