Bessie was the daughter of Otha W.O. and Lula Blanche (Henry) Seal and the second wife of John R. Hollingsworth, Sr.

John appeared in the 1950 census as the oldest of four children living on his parent’s farm near Woodstock.

He was a policeman in Woodstock when he married Ailon Katherine Lineweaver (1938-2021) in 1961. She was the daughter of Frank Gilbert and Katherine Lee (Clowser) Lineweaver and lived in Star Tannery. She worked as a clerk typist.

The couple raised at least two sons together: John Roland Hollingsworth, III (born 1963), and Kevin Lee Hollingworth (born 1964).

John R. Hollingsworth, Jr. and his wife are buried together in Woodstock.
