Annie V. Lineweaver was the seventh child of William Riley and Clara (McIlwee) Lineweaver. She grew up in Star Tannery and graduated from Strasburg High School in 1939. A year later, she graduated from Warflynn Beauty College in Washington, D.C. and worked there for two years.
In 1942, she married Earl R. Plauger. They first lived in Baltimore, Maryland. After the war, they moved back to Shenandoah County, settling in Woodstock by 1950.
The couple had three children together: Cherie D. (who is in this picture) and sons, Gary N. and David L Plauger who were born later.
