Arlene was the daughter of Franklin Kirby and Maggie Fravel (Burner) Didawick. She had several siblings.
She married William Norman Vann, Sr. (1917-2000), and by 1950, the couple lived in the Maple Heights area of Woodstock and had two children, Pamela and William N. Vann, Jr.
Arlene's husband served as the Deputy Treasurer of Shenandoah County.
Pamela Kay Vann grew up in Woodstock and graduated from Central High School in 1964.
She married twice. Her first husband was Charles Daniel Dellinger (married in 1964) and her second husband was Robert John Karmy (married in 1985 in Edinburg).
