Gail was a 1940 graduate of Edinburg High School. Her parents were Robert William Stinson and Maud Munch Stinson.

Mrs. Burke married Roderick William Burke in 1940. By 1950, Gail, her husband, Roderick, and 6-year old son, Larry, lived in Fort Valley. Both Gail and her husband worked at the "Celanese" Plant where he was a mechanic's helper and she had an administrative job that entailed analysis.

She was buried in Fort Valley.
