Jane was from Woodstock, and the 1930 census found her on W. Locust Street. Her parents were Fred and Rena M. Wolverton. She was the third of six children living there. Her father was an assistant cashier in a bank.
In 1943, she married Forrest Lee Vehrencamp (1923-2000) in Pinnellas, Florida. Forrest was also born in Woodstock. He was the son of Edward L. Vehrencamp and Clara A. (Bowman) Grabill.
By 1950, the family lived in Burbank, California. Jane had three daughters: Cheryl (born in Va.), Jeannine, and Ann (both born in Ca.). Her husband worked as a clerk in the post office.
Jane and her family remained in California. She is buried in Kern County.
