Place was identified in 2013 by staff of the Shenandoah County Historical Society (SCHS).

The members of the Board of Supervisors, Dr. Fravel, and the members of the Helsley Family were identified in 2025 by Zachary Hottel based on a copy of this photograph in his possession where the subjects are identified and confirmed through newspaper reports.

Dated by Zachary Hottel in 2025 based on a print held by the Shenandoah County Historical Society with a date label.
